As a social media platform, Hacoo is committed to the protection of intellectual property, and obeys the law and other normative rules about intellectual property right. Hacoo operates as a content-sharing and third-party connection platform, where inspirations and content are provided by independent creators and users. We empower our community users with oversight rights—once infringement is discovered, we will immediately remove the third-party content in question. Meanwhile, Hacoo strives to provide an efficient, secure, and legal sharing ecosystem for all parties on the platform, and will closely cooperate with intellectual property owners to fight infringement.
We rely on community oversight to quickly verify and remove infringing content. Hacoo's Intellectual property team actively monitors and seriously investigates any reports.
Definition of Intellectual Property Rights.
Intellectual property rights are divided into three main categories:
Trademarks: Trademarks are distinctive signs that identify enterprises, offerings, services, etc., and are expressed in the form of graphics, words, three-dimensional drawings, numbers, etc. Trademark rights, that is, the trademark registrant of its registered trademark enjoys the right to use, revenue and other rights protected by law to prohibit infringement by others.
Patents: Legal rights granted for novel inventions or technical solutions. Patent rights provide the inventor with the exclusive authority to prevent others from making, using, or exploiting the invention without permission.
Copyrights: Expressions of works include literary works, images, music, drama, paintings, videos, computer software, etc. Copyright, or copyright, is the legal right of the creator to the work, including publication, attribution, etc.
Definition of infringement of others' intellectual property rights.
Shared content or posts improperly use other people's trademarks, copyrights or patents.
The publication of information within the community that improperly uses another person's trademark, copyright or patent, or is likely to cause confusion and misunderstanding.
The improper use of another person's trademark, copyright or patent for information in user-generated content.
Who can Report infringement?
The IPR (Intellectual property rights) whistleblower must be the owner of the IPR, or can produce a power of attorney to prove that he/she is the agent entrusted by the IPR owner.
Any Hacoo user who spots content or shared links that are suspected of promoting counterfeits or unauthorized reproductions.
How can I submit the report?
Contacting the information publisher directly may resolve your complaint more quickly and in a way that is more beneficial to you, the information publisher, and our community. You may also file a Trademark Infringement Report / Copyright Infringement Report to request the removal of the alleged infringing content from Hacoo.
All complaints should contain the information requested in our online report form. Failure to include necessary information may limit our ability to investigate your claims and may result in your complaint being denied.
We may provide the account holder with your contact information, including the email address and the name of the trademark/copyright owner, and/or details of the complaint.
Before submitting a notification, please be aware that intentionally submitting a misleading or fraudulent report may lead to liability for damages under the European Union Digital Services Act (DSA), applicable UK digital regulations, or other relevant laws in your jurisdiction.
If you submit a report or infringement notification to us, we may contact you if we have additional questions about your report or notification. Please note that Hacoo is not in a position to adjudicate disputes between third parties, and may not be able to remove the content or suspend the account you reported. As an alternative, you may want to contact the person who posted the content or owns the account to try to resolve your issue directly.
Details and requirements for reporting information
Clarify the type and nature of the violation, for example, the use of unauthorised trademarks/copyrights/patents in post images/captions/user profiles, etc.
Details of the reported Post URL or Content ID.
Proof of originality: Trademark, copyright or patent registration number. Content allegedly promoting counterfeit items, unauthorized brand assets, or related links, etc. Original pictures reported need to provide original photos (RAW files or pictures with EXIF in JPG format) and, if necessary, shooting sets / creation contracts. For reports of trademark infringement, a trademark registration certificate consistent with the trademark featured in the reported content is required. Patent infringement reports need to provide within the validity of the patent registration certificate.
Proof of identity (Applied to certain report situations) such as the original photo ID card of the owner of the intellectual property rights or a copy of the ID card + signature.
Penalty rules
For Infringing Content: Hacoo will immediately remove or disable access to content that violates intellectual property rights. We will trace the violation to the responsible independent user or creator, and take severe enforcement actions, including restricting, blacklisting, and permanently terminating the accounts of individuals or entities who engage in bad-faith IP infringement.
